FEATURED ATTRACTIONS!

*VERTICAL VELOCITY*
Strap in and fly high this summer aboard Northern California's most Extreme coaster thrill ride ever!. Vertical Velocity is the west's first suspended spiraling impulse coaster and one of only three such coasters in the world! Launched by an advanced design electromagnetic propulsion system, riders rocket at speeds of up to 70mph- forward and backward- staright up and straight back down two 150ft. vertical sky towers!. A spiraling corkscrew atop the first vertical tower gives you a whicked wirl just as you reach its already dizzying heights. Opening Memorial Day weekend, 2001, Vertical Velocity is the new tallest, fastest supercoaster in Northern California!

*MEDUSA*
Ride the owrld's fist flying coaster! Medusa is the tallest, fastest, longest and most technoligically advanced coaster in Northern California, the first floorless coaster to be intorduced to the west coast and the tallest, fastest flying coaster in the world. Roller coaster experts call Medusa the "Finest steel roller coaster in the world." The unique floorless design of this serpintine super coaster allows riders to experience an unrivaled feel of flying, as they soar over Medusa's 150ft. first drop and travel at 65mph. on open air pedestal like seats with legs dangling above the track! Medusa hurtles riders through 4,000ft. of track and seven inversions including a never before done st of back to back super loops called the "Sea Serpent." Medusa- a beast in a pack of wild rides at Six Flags Marine World opened in 2000 and is the best coaster there so far! Ride if you dare!

*KONG*
This is Six Flags Marine World's only suspended coaster. Its not the best in the world, but still is one ride you need to conquer before you leave the park. Kong just got a new paint job and now has yellow supports and a bright orange track. Kong has a height of 115ft. and treats you to 5 inversions.

*BOOMERANG*
Boomerang is a short ride, but very fun! Boomerang has six inversions and ride frontwards and backwards, heading through a batwing inversion and a vertical loop!

*ROAR*
Roar is just as good of a coaster as Medusa. Roar is the best woody I have been on. This classic wooden coaster features an opening drop of 10 stories high (100ft.) and speeds of up to 50miles per hour!

*COBRA*
Cobra is the new kiddie coaster SFMW has acquired for 2000. It is a perfect wild ride for kids at heart. Take a tummy tingling drop over Cobra's 26ft. lift hill, then zip along at 22mph through 1,200 feet of twisting, turning track the whole family can enjoy.

*HAMMERHEAD SHARK*
This ride has been designed to look like a hammerhead shark, this 360degree thriller shoots high in the sky, flips upside down, then heads screaming back down to earth. But there is a tiwst........... there is no floor beneath your feet, just air!

*VOODOO*
Voodoo treats riders to a swinging high in the air ride which flips you head over heels at 40mph three times with water beneath your feet!

DOLPHIN DISCOVERY

A close encounter of the bottlenose dolphin kind is available for the first time at Six Flags Marine World in a new education program called Dolphin Discovery.
The two- hour Dolphin Discovery brings people and dolphins together with an emphasis on learning about the magnificent marine mammals in a memorable way. Program participants don wet suits to meet Marine World dolphins and trainers, including oppertunities to touch (pet) the animals, to learn from the trainers, feed the dolphins, and to pose for a commemorative photo.
Dolphin Discovery will be the first and only dolphin interactive program in Northern California, though some 30 such programs exist nationwide. The program is open to persons of the age of 9 and older. Participant numbers are limited and reservations are required. Dolphin Discovery dates will be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning March 17. Cost of the program is $99.99 per person, which includes admission into Six Flags Marine World. Dolphin Discovery gift certificates are available.
